My approach to counseling

Everyone has a story to tell, one that is worth respecting and understanding. As a therapist, I believe my main goal is to come along side those who are in pain or distress in order to recognize the importance of their past and the significance of the present in order to create more hope and clarity for the future. Experiencing feelings of anxiety, depression, and psychological distress can be extremely difficult and are only exasperated when it feels like nobody quite understands. I have found that this relational approach equips individuals with the healing, relief, and change they are seeking after, and strive to provide the empathy and understanding they deserve.

I have experience in working with

I have experience working with clients across the age spectrum providing therapy to both children and adults, with an emphasis on teenagers, and emerging and young adults. I specialize in providing long-term psychodynamic therapy that can provide relief in the short-term while also scaffolding and preparing individuals for sustained change. My other therapeutic experiences include working with couples and with individuals on the Autism spectrum. Additionally, I have experience providing psychological evaluations for academic concerns such as ADHD or specific learning difficulties, and mood issues.

Make an Appointment

Samaritan Center uses an Electronic Health Records (EHR) system developed by Valant for client intake and subsequent health records management. To set up your account and schedule your appointment, follow these steps, as directed by your therapist and prompted by Valant:
  1. To begin the process, first contact the therapist by email or phone (listed on this page above) to schedule an initial conversation about fit.
  2. When prompted by an email from Valant, set up your patient portal account using a validation code provided by your therapist.
  3. Fill out your demographic/insurance information in Valant. Let your therapist know when this is complete.
  4. When prompted by an email from Valant, complete our eSignature intake packet.

NOTE: All the above steps must be completed before your first session with your therapist.
