My approach to counseling
I love working with individuals and relationships in transition, whether it be between life stages, the coming together or breakup of relationships, or around work or life changes. Often, whatever is spurring you to seek out therapy is some kind of transition—the way of life that was working for you before isn’t working the same way anymore—and it is natural to need some assistance in finding a new balance.
I have a particular heart for relationships whose members are seeking to find a healthy balance between work, personal, and family life, especially with members of caring professions.
I have experience in working with
Older children and teens, young adults, adults, and older adults, as well as couples and parent-child dyads and some families. I have experience working with medical professionals, clergy, teachers, and pastors kids, among others, as well as people entering into periods of vocational or spiritual transitions, and retirement.
I am also an Ordained Deacon in the United Methodist Church, and welcome clients who desire to incorporate their spirituality or religious practices into therapy, as well as those seeking to reckon with spiritual wounds.
