My approach to counseling

Therapy doesn’t have to feel clinical or distant. I offer a supportive, affirming space where you can slow down, make sense of what you’re carrying, and start reconnecting with yourself. We’ll work together to untangle what’s been holding you back – so you can build more meaningful relationships, feel more secure in who you are, and move forward with more clarity and confidence.

As a Filipino-American therapist, I’m committed to providing inclusive, culturally responsive care. I work from an anti-oppression, anti-racist, and Health at Every Size lens, and I’m proud to support the LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities.

My style is collaborative and flexible. I draw from emotion-focused, narrative, psychodynamic, existential, and solution-focused approaches – always guided by what feels right for you. You set the pace, and I’ll meet you there.

I have experience in working with

-Helping individual teens and adults navigate complex and challenging emotional states, such as depression, anxiety, grief, self-doubt, and shame

-Assisting individuals and couples practice honest, vulnerable, and healthy communication of their needs and longings

-Addressing suffering from a holistic framework that honors your unique history, biology, relationships, and intersecting identities

-Collaborating with trusted family, friends, and other providers on your care team to ensure you have the support you need even after we’re done working together

Make an Appointment

Samaritan Center uses an Electronic Health Records (EHR) system developed by Valant for client intake and subsequent health records management. To set up your account and schedule your appointment, follow these steps, as directed by your therapist and prompted by Valant:
  1. To begin the process, first contact the therapist by email or phone (listed on this page above) to schedule an initial conversation about fit.
  2. When prompted by an email from Valant, set up your patient portal account using a validation code provided by your therapist.
  3. Fill out your demographic/insurance information in Valant. Let your therapist know when this is complete.
  4. When prompted by an email from Valant, complete our eSignature intake packet.

NOTE: All the above steps must be completed before your first session with your therapist.
