My approach to counseling

I approach counseling from a depth psychology and relational perspective. I specialize in the tricky place of: our relationship with ourselves. I emphasize our capacity to befriend ourselves with love and to actively cultivate peace, agency, and compassion. My personal mental and emotional healing work is rooted in my relationship with Jesus Christ – and I integrate Christian cosmology and support as desired by clients – following the lead of my clients’ own spiritual and cultural rooting. My orientation is also deeply informed by Buddhist Psychotherapy, Compassionate Communication, and Attitudinal Healing. I strive to purify my perception, cultivate spacious warmth, and embody unconditional love in your presence. I am trained in multiple clinically proven disciplines for personal change including: Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Compassionate Communication (NVC), Mindfulness Based Therapies (MBT). I am also a Certified Child Mental Health Specialist utilizing play therapy modalities. I believe I have much to receive and learn from you.

Make an Appointment

Samaritan Center uses an Electronic Health Records (EHR) system developed by Valant for client intake and subsequent health records management. To set up your account and schedule your appointment, follow these steps, as directed by your therapist and prompted by Valant:
  1. To begin the process, first contact the therapist by email or phone (listed on this page above) to schedule an initial conversation about fit.
  2. When prompted by an email from Valant, set up your patient portal account using a validation code provided by your therapist.
  3. Fill out your demographic/insurance information in Valant. Let your therapist know when this is complete.
  4. When prompted by an email from Valant, complete our eSignature intake packet.

NOTE: All the above steps must be completed before your first session with your therapist.
