About StillWaters Therapists

StillWaters Counseling and Consultation is a distinct part of Samaritan Center, created to serve clients who cannot or prefer not to access insurance as a payment option. Such clients might lack insurance coverage or seek a type of therapy that insurance providers do not cover. Learn more...

My approach to counseling

I focus on exploring emotions that come up in unhelpful ways and working with emotions to facilitate change and growth. I focus on how you experience emotions, where you feel emotions in your body, and how your emotions can be processed and shifted in helpful ways. I seek to create a safe space in which you can feel comfortable exploring your emotions and different parts of yourself in a new way.

I have experience in working with

I love working with people who are curious about themselves and want to learn more about who they are, why they feel what they feel, how to gain more awareness of their emotions, and how to increase authenticity in their lives and relationships. I enjoy working with clients navigating challenging life transitions when questions about themselves and the world often arise.

I have worked with clients struggling with depression, anxiety, and trauma. While I enjoy helping people in any circumstance, I have specific interests in working with clients facing infertility, clients who are foster and adoptive parents, and clients experiencing perinatal mental concerns (depression and anxiety during or after pregnancy, pregnancy and infant loss, and birth trauma).

Make an Appointment

Samaritan Center uses an Electronic Health Records (EHR) system developed by Valant for client intake and subsequent health records management. To set up your account and schedule your appointment, follow these steps, as directed by your therapist and prompted by Valant:
  1. To begin the process, first contact the therapist by email or phone (listed on this page above) to schedule an initial conversation about fit.
  2. When prompted by an email from Valant, set up your patient portal account using a validation code provided by your therapist.
  3. Fill out your demographic/insurance information in Valant. Let your therapist know when this is complete.
  4. When prompted by an email from Valant, complete our eSignature intake packet.

NOTE: All the above steps must be completed before your first session with your therapist.
