My approach to counseling
In working with families, couples or individuals, my role as a therapist is to facilitate change or adaptation based on the client’s goals. I believe that the experience of every person is influenced by the system (or systems) he or she is part of, and the spiritual journey she or he wants to pursue. It is from this perspective and with sensitivity to the context which the client brings that I employ a variety of techniques, depending on the needs of the clients and their best interest.
I have experience in working with
Multicultural/cross-cultural counseling, interfaith and language issues
Addressing women’s issues, women’s empowerment
Helping families, couples and individuals deal with life transitions/changes, conflict and effective communication
Addressing spiritual formation, personal growth/development
