My approach to counseling

I do therapy in both English and Spanish. I am interested in the integration of the psychological, biological, social and spiritual influences on our well-being. From a systems perspective, I focus on the patterns of relationships of individuals and couples. I am especially sensitive to accommodating my clients’ needs and goals. I have found that Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is especially effective in my work with couples. I can also provide Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. When appropriate, I offer my clients the possibility to work with Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP), which helps re-train the brain to a calmer and safer state, what can make therapy more efficient.
