My approach to counseling

I am passionate about creating a safe and welcoming space for adults and adolescents to process their struggles and their desires. I work with clients using a strength-based, client-centered, collaborative approach. I believe that our very struggles need not isolate us from ourselves and others and can help point the way towards hope and healing. You and I will work together in bringing the best and most appropriate care, seeking to address your present concerns while being curious to understand how your past experiences may be impacting you today.

I have experience in working with

  • Management of stress and anxiety
  • Healing from unwanted sexual behavior
  • Helping others work through corporate culture stress and burnout
  • Negotiating life transitions and second half of life changes
  • The development of emotional intelligence
  • The integration of psychology and spirituality
  • The process of grief and loss
  • Relational struggles and communication
  • Helping pastors and leaders process the unique stressors of spiritual leadership
  • Supportive therapy around trauma
  • Prepare/Enrich Certified Facilitator – inventory that assess couple’s strengths and growth areas
