My approach to counseling

Everyone has a story to tell, one that is worth respecting and understanding. As a therapist, I believe my main goal is to come along side those who are in pain or distress in order to recognize the importance of their past and the significance of the present in order to create more hope and clarity for the future. Experiencing feelings of anxiety, depression, and psychological distress can be extremely difficult and are only exasperated when it feels like nobody quite understands. I have found that this relational approach equips individuals with the healing, relief, and change they are seeking after, and strive to provide the empathy and understanding they deserve.

I have experience in working with:

  • Children
  • Teens and emerging and young adults
  • Adults
  • Long-term psychodynamic therapy
    • provides relief in the short-term while also scaffolding and preparing individuals for sustained change
  • Couples and individuals on the Autism spectrum
  • Psychological evaluations for academic concerns such as ADHD or specific learning difficulties, and mood issues.
