My approach to counseling

I follow a strengths-based, client-centered approach that seeks to walk along and support your life journey. In the therapeutic space, I act as a reflective lens to build insight by helping to make connections between present and past issues and experiences. I will work with you to identify, understand, and possibly change coping mechanisms and patterns as they exist in your environment.

I have experience working with a number of therapeutic styles (CBT, mindfulness, and others), which allows me to discuss with you options for ways that we can work together.

I have experience in working with

  • Adults and adolescents
  • Patients new to therapy
  • Skill-building for managing stress, anxiety, and depression
  • Processing around loss and grief
  • Working through transitions and implementing changes
  • Exploration of addiction and coping mechanisms
  • Supportive therapy around Trauma
