I have 17 years of experience working with children, teens, young adults, individuals, families and couples in a variety of settings including Youth Eastside Services, Samaritan Center, schools, YMCA, camps, Young Life, Bible Study Fellowship, and church. Additionally, I am Adjunct Faculty in Counselor Education at Seattle Pacific University where I supervise and instruct school counselors in training. With my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, I have been specifically trained to work with couples and families, and I have additional education in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). I  am a facilitator for Prepare/Enrich, a couples relationship assessment tool. I have volunteered numerous times for Camp Erin and Camp Mariposa, camps which are supported by The Moyer Foundation for children in distress.

Professional Interests and Specialties:
My orientation for therapy comes from a “systems” perspective.  I focus on how individuals function in relationships to those around them, as well as asking about what is going on inside them.  Within this context, I examine how individuals can be separate, while also remaining connected to others.  I work with my clients from a position of unconditional openness, respect and curiosity.
I work with children, teens, young adults, individuals, families and couples who need help with:

  • Premarital and  marital relationships
  • Family conflict
  • School Problems
  • Depression/anxiety
  • Grief/loss
  • Substance abuse
  • Life coaching
  • Career development
